The notorious electronic duo British Murder Boys—a partnership between Anthony Child (a.k.a. Surgeon) and Downwards label boss Karl O’Connor (a.k.a. Regis)—is set to return to Downwards next month with a new EP, entitled Live in Tokyo. The pair got its start in 2002, yielding a malignant strain of noisy, industrial techno released mainly through Surgeon’s own Counterbalance label. After a seven-year hiatus, the two producers reunited in 2012 for the Where Pail Limbs Lie EP on Liberation Technologies. The forthcoming Live in Tokyo 12”, available to preview with tracklisting below, assembles material from a live performance in Japan, and is slated to see an official release on June 9. A British Murder Boys compilation, accompanied by a live DVD and photo history book, is scheduled to follow.
