LA DJ/producer Low Limit, who is also half of bass-music duo Lazer Sword, and Boston-based Astro Nautico affiliate Time Wharp have teamed up for a brand-new mix, which XLR8R is premiering ahead of their joint tour. The appropriately titled Time Limit™ mix is actually two separate mixes from each producer, each section showcasing the versatility of both artists. Moving through various strains of bass music and classic house sounds from the likes of FaltyDL, Martyn, Anthony Naples, and A Guy Called Gerald, Time Wharp’s mix is a largely up-tempo affair, and reflects his stripped-down, elegant approach to his own tunes. Things get a little weirder on Low Limit’s half of the mix, with the rough-and-ready productions of SFV Acid and Ghosts on Tape rubbing shoulders with the likes of Kowton and R&B songstress Cassie. The pair’s mix can be streamed and downloaded below, where the dates of their US and Canadian tour can also be found.
