Space: not exactly the final frontier, but definitely something like it. Much like the island, the 20-year fixture of Ibiza nightlife has changed a lot over the years, but not entirely for the worse. Maintaining a progressive (but generally not progressive house) booking policy, Space’s now famous Sunday We Love Space party boasts a roster of artists that runs the spectrum, from Ibiza favorites like Derrick May and Jeff Mills to nu-school oddballs like Blondes and Tensnake. Sitting somewhere in the middle of that spectrum are Miss Kittin, Ivan Smagghe, and Dan Ghenacia, who just shared the bill two weeks ago. Commemorating that event, We Love Space got the closely knit trio together for their “We Love…” video series, which features choice interviews, candid statements, a cameo by Jean-Paul Belmondo, and an overall discussion of the French community’s impact on Balearic nightlife.
