Daniele Baldelli has teamed up with Bluenoises Records founder Dario Piana for a new EP on Tropical Animals, titled Surrounding Areas.

Throughout the ’70s and into the ’80s, Baldelli created the term “cosmic disco,” an Italian dance music genre of his own. He took up residencies at Italy’s Baia Degli Angeli and Cosmic Club and remains much loved for his eclectic mixing style by DJs, producers, and diggers alike. 

Florence-based party Tropical Animals has been heating up the Tuscany nightlife for the last nine years, and so the jump to starting up a label was a natural step. In 2018, the label released three EPs from Whitesquare, The Cyclist, and DJ Octopus. Surrounding Areas is their first release of 2019 and their first from these two Italian veterans.  The four tracks capture a distinctively Italian spirit, one that was born to soundtrack the warm summer nights of Tuscany.
