Atlanta producer and recent podcast contributor Distal has announced plans to release an LP for Pinch’s Tectonic imprint, and has shared a stream of the monstrous track “Gorilla” to help spread the word. Judging from this single preview, it seems—appropriately enough—that Distal is not afraid to dip into decidedly darker and more dense territory for his Tectonic debut, and considering the breadth of sounds and styles the Southern producer has managed to cover in just over a year of prolific output, we’re inclined to expect an ambitiously wide-ranging full-length.
