The Loose Control Band has shared a psychedelic new video for “Lose Control,” the a-side cut from the duo’s forthcoming EP for New York imprint Golf Channel. Though the collaboration appears to be new, group members DJ Spun and Jonah Sharp are both veterans of the electronic music scene—Spun is the founder of NY’s Rong label and has served as a curator for MoMA PS1’s Warm Up series, while longstanding San Francisco producer Sharp (a.k.a. Spacetime Continuum) has a collaborative LP with Move D due out via The Bunker next month.
The pair’s Lose Control/ It’s (Not) Just an 808 EP (tracklist below) is expected to see release on October 13, and ahead of its arrival, the video for “Lose Control” can be watched below. Billed as “trippy rave visual poetry,” the eight-minute effort was directed by Donovan’s LightsOut LightShow, and overlays a classical ballet pas de deux in hallucinogenic, pulsing neon.
