Dusty Brown has been a name intrinsically linked to the Sacramento electronic music scene for over eight years now, playing shows with the likes of once-local acts Tycho and Chachi Jones. The moniker used to stand for the beat-driven pop songs created by one man, Dusty himself, but now it’s more of a familial effort, as two extra Browns help in the creation of his soundscapes, lush with intricate vocal melodies and old-school-electronica-inspired rhythms. Now, the trio is offering a brand-new five-song EP, entitled The City is Killing Me, for free download on its website.
