In the years since his 2010 LP Pop Negro, Pablo Díaz-Reixa (a.k.a. El Guincho) has remained realtively quiet, but that silence will soon be somewhat broken, as we’ve received news of a forthcoming two-track 12″ produced by the artist under his Trances moniker for John Talabot’s Hivern Discs. The announcement of the forthcoming vinyl-only release comes with little exact info, though the record’s two tracks have been described as “indigenous analog jams” and “raw as fuck.” It should also be pointed out that Trances is an alias Díaz-Reixa has played with before, sharing a mix under the name over a year ago. His “4” b/w “5” 12″ (artwork above) is set to drop on February 10.
