It has been nearly six years since Austrian ambient artist Christian Fennesz released his last solo studio album Black Sea, and now, following a string of remixes, one-off tracks, and collaborations, the veteran producer has unveiled the details of his next LP. Bécs is set to arrive on April 28 via Editions Mego, and is said to be the “conceptual follow up” to Fennesz’s seminal Endless Summer LP, marking his return to “florid pop mechanisms” after Black Sea‘s drone-focused material.
