Flying Lotus Shares Two New Album Cuts
'Flamagra' LP lands May 24 via Warp Records.

Flying Lotus has shared new tracks from Flamagra, his upcoming studio album on Warp Records featuring a dream cast of collaborators, including David Lynch.
The two-track offering “Spontaneous/Takashi” is the first step into the Flamagra universe.
“Spontaneous” is a flirtatious ballad with Yukimi Nagano of Little Dragon singing atop a funky template. It blends perfectly with “Takashi,” a piano-driven instrumental that swirls itself into a soulful cosmic jam. The track is named after Takashi Yudo, an artist from the creative project teamLab. FlyLo’s visit to this visual experience in 2018 re-inspired his creative spirit.
It’s been nearly five years since the last Flying Lotus album, the Grammy-nominated You’re Dead! Flamagra features (in order of appearance) Anderson .Paak, George Clinton, Tierra Whack, Denzel Curry, Shabazz Palaces, Thundercat, Toro y Moi, Solange, and more. It’s described as an “astral afro-futurist masterpiece of deep soul, cosmic dust, and startling originality.”
