Pioneering industrial group Throbbing Gristle suprised a lot of people when they reformed to play live and record new material a few years back, and now comes the sad news that one of the members, Genesis P-Orridge, has decided to no longer perform with the group. With a string of dates left for the group in Europe, this weekend’s show in Prague has been cancelled, but the remaining three members will be performing at the upcoming Genderbender Festival in Bologna, Italy and at the Casa Musica in Portugal under the name X-TG. The remaining members, Cosey Fanni Tutti, Peter Christopherson, and Chris Carter, had this to say about their upcoming performances: “We hope fans will appreciate and enjoy this new project and the trio is looking forward to performing exciting new and radical electronic musics together.” For more info check the Throbbing Gristle site.
