Glenn Astro Preps Debut LP for Tartelet; Preview It Now
The German talent has put together a soulful 15 tracks for his first full-length release.
Hailing from Essen, Germany, Glenn Astro has steadily built up a catalog of soulfully swung dance music with releases for the likes of Space Hardware and WotNot, among others. Now, Astro has announced plans to return to the Tartelet label (who released his Chemistry 12″ last year) with Throwback, the burgeoning producer’s debut full-length.
Spanning 15 tracks, the Throwback LP is said to be characterized by “the warm whoosh of analog synths, the rattle of Rhodes tines, and the sizzle of jazzy drums, all held together by the comforting glue of tape hiss and vinyl crackle.” Furthermore, the album is said to incorporate elements of house, hip-hop, funk, and soul into its run, which will span two vinyl LPs. Set to arrive on May 25, each cut from Glenn Astro’s forthcoming debut LP is available to preview using the player below.
