Over the past few years, French producer Gordon has been somewhat of a regular on our pages. His tracks have a certain allure to them and have been standouts in XLR8R‘s downloads section—his warped cut “MK Ultra” landed at number six in our Top 10 Downloads of April roundup last year. Later this month, Gordon is set to return to regular home InFiné with his third EP, Dystopia.

The four tracks on Dystopia feature elements of acid house and UK hardcore and look to “merge past reveries and acid violence in a disenchanted post-apocalyptic world,” with a nod to a major episode of a cult sci-fi series from the ’90s. Following its dystopic theme, the EP moves through dense atmospheres, barren acid workouts, and haunting soundscapes.
