Although it arrives with a blatant disclaimer that these are more or less “unofficial” tracks from Alec Koone’s Balam Acab project, the free Club Water Discus EP is an interesting listen all the same. As Koone puts it on Facebook, “[The EP is] a sound I experimented with in 2012… Unofficial, non-indicative of sound of future official releases. Just thought I’d share.” Seeing as how the young artist’s Wander / Wonder LP for Tri Angle was one of our favorite records of 2011, we’re glad he decided to giveaway the music he’s been toying around with, official or not.
