As Los Angeles-based beatsmith Brendan Angelides (a.k.a. Eskmo) prepares to release the Terra EP, the oddly spiritual producer offers up that record’s opening cut for your pre-release-listening pleasure. The slow and cold sound of “Buffalo” is accented with auto-tuned vocals and bright synths, packaged together as a kind of bubbly, ’80s-sounding pop song. Before Eskmo’s new seven-track record—which is said to explore the “slower [and] slightly darker side” of electronic music—is released via Angelides’ Ancestor label on January 21, you can stream “Buffalo” and check out the artist’s upcoming North American tour dates below.
