The club-wrecking UK duo of Hot City is back, having just announced a series of three forthcoming EPs via Moshi Moshi, starting with the Something Bout EP (artwork above) this summer. DJ Haus and Benz first broke onto the dancefloor in 2008 with “Yeah!” b/w “Headwork” for the now-defunct Highpoint Lowlife imprint, but really picked up steam following the release of “Hot City Bass” b/w “Sweat” on Ramp the following year. After a short hiatus—during which time DJ Haus has kept himself rather busy with his Unknown to the Unknown label and its related exploits—the pair is set to drop its third EP this summer for Moshi Moshi, featuring two original tracks, “Something Bout” and “4 U,” as well as a remix and separate solo effort by Benz. Details of the following two EPs have not yet been revealed, but it nonetheless seems that the rave-referencing thump of Hot City is poised to capture plenty of dancefloors in 2012, and, as the Moshi Moshi camp promises, “make this summer just a little bit hotter.”
