Though it’s been available for months through the label’s mailorder, the Solid Gold compilation from Mike Simonetti’s (pictured above) Italians Do it Better label just recently made its way onto retailers’ shelves. The 10-track release was curated by Italo-disco revivalist and label stalwart Johnny Jewel (of Glass Candy and Chromatics), and features hard-to-find and out-of-print tracks from early 12″ records that the label put out. Included in the bunch are Bottin, Tiedye, Solange (a.k.a. Christabelle of Lindstrøm & Christabelle), Invisible Conga People, and more. You can check out Solid Gold‘s artwork and tracklist below.
