JETS, the fast-growing collaboration between prolific electronic forces Jimmy Edgar and Machinedrum (pictured above), will drop its next effort later this month in the form of a two-track 12″ featuring two cover versions of Midnight Star’s mid-’80s classic “Midas Touch.” With Warp’s resident soulman Jamie Lidell on vocals, JETS’ collaborative take on “Midas Touch” fills out the a-side, while Machinedrum’s own solo version of the tune will be featured on the flip. Before the 12″ sees an official release via Berlin’s Leisure System imprint on January 27, a stream of “Midas Touch (Machinedrum Version)” can be heard in full below.
