XLR8R will be partnering up with Moog Audio, Scion Sessions, and Sapporo in March to present a month-long series of showcases in Toronto, called Foundry, during which various labels and blogs will curate their own night with select innovators of modern electronic music. Each night of the weekly event series will center around a different electronic subgenre, featuring shows headlined by Shlohmo, Martyn, Andy Stott, Omar-S, Juan Atkins, Bicep, Kevin McPhee, Alixander III, and others. All of the showcases will take place at Toronto venue BLK BOX (retrofitted with a Funktion One soundsystem), aiming to keep the dialogue about technology, music, and performance art maintained throughout the month of March. Individual nights will be helmed by various pillars of electronic music, including 92 BPM, I Love Bass Music, Evening Standard, Idol Hanse, Box of Kittens, and more.
