Following her acclaimed debut mixtape Cut 4 Me, LA-based vocalist and songwriter Kelela has announced her first headline performances in select US cities, sharing with the upcoming tour dates a brand-new single. After featuring production from Fade to Mind and Night Slugs mainstays Bok Bok, Kingdom, Girl Unit, Nguzunguzu, Jam City, and Morri$ on her mixtape, Kelela’s new “The High” single boasts production from shadowy artist Gifted & Blessed. The song stays true to her previous work, with a pulsating, minimal beat that leaves plenty of room for the mix to focus on the hauntingly dynamic vocal performance.
