Next week, Glasgow Underground founder, Kevin McKay, will release his debut solo album, The Love Forever—the album also lands following Glasgow Underground‘s 20th anniversary last year.
McKay is credited as the mastermind behind some of the biggest house tracks of the past two decades—he produced and mixed Mylo’s seminal platinum-selling album Destory Rock & Roll, for example—and he now places himself at the forefront, presenting a 12-track collection of cuts that flow through disco, techno, and house in understated style. Showing mind-boggling patience in honing his craft, the album was produced, as McKay states, once “I got to a place where I felt that I’d developed enough to take on an album,” and its title refers to his “love affair with dance music.”
In support of the album, McKay has offered up album cut “Propaganda,” a six-minute proto-disco stomper, as today’s XLR8R download.
You can grab the cut via WeTransfer below, with the album available for pre-order here.
