Though Glasgow-based producer Koreless (pictured above) and frequent SBTRKT collaborator Sampha have been working together since 2010, the artists are finally set to properly release their first collaborative single. Calling themselves Short Stories, the two utilize the drum machines, synths, and sample pads from the studio that would ultimately become where The xx recorded Coexist. Full of playfully screwed vocal samples and quick, tribal-esque drum patterns, the two tracks perfectly weld together each artist’s signature styles. “Let It Go” b/w “On the Way” will see a release on January 28 via Young Turks, but before then, you can stream Short Stories’ recent Boiler Room session for the Young Turks takeover (in which the pair performs “Let It Go”), as well as view the tracklist and cover art for its upcoming 12″, below.
