Maxmillion Dunbar will revisit his rhythm-based Dolo Percussion alias on a new EP to close out the year. The DC producer (real name Andrew Field-Pickering) debuted the drum machine-driven project on L.I.E.S. last year, and in the time since has delivered EPs for The Trilogy Tapes and Berceuse Heroique (plus a Beautiful Swimmers 12″ for People’s Potential Unlimited and a split single with Hashman Deejay for fledgling label Falstaff187). The forthcoming Dolo 2 will reportedly offer “Primo technoid junk, Sumo tom hits, ricochet chants, and new wave jungle blasts” when it drops via Dunbar’s own Future Times imprint sometime this December; in the meantime, clips for the EP’s four tracks can be heard over at Resident Advisor, and a complete tracklist is on view below.
