Burgeoning UK producer Midland is set to return to the label that first thrust his productions into the arms of 2-steppin’ garage fans the world over, Aus Music, with a new single, “Through Motion” b/w “Shelter,” slated for release this coming May. Most of our readers should remember Midland’s excellent 2010 collaboration with future-bass wunderkind Ramadanman, “Your Words Matter” b/w “More Than You Know,” but now Midland will be going this one alone, presenting two new tracks said to explore “the boundaries of 2-step, UK garage, and techno.” With a slew of impressive remixes and tracks to his name since his last contribution to the Aus Music catalog, his forthcoming single can definitely be thrown into the “much-anticipated” category, especially considering it comes with a digital-only remix from Chicago’s Tevo Howard to boot. “Through Motion” b/w “Shelter” drops May 16, and for those who somehow missed Midland’s aforementioned Ramadanman collab, you’ll find a stream of it below.
