Heavyweight Berlin duo Modeselektor has announced an upcoming DVD, which follows the two producers throughout Europe and into their private lives. The 72-minute documentary, titled We Are Modeselektor, pieces together footage of both new and old interviews, live performances, and time spent in the studio. Directed by filmmakers Romi Agel and Holger Wick, the film is meant to not only capture the history of Modeselektor, but also the dynamic friendship shared between members Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary. Though slotted for release on May 3 via the duo’s own Monkeytown imprint (the UK and US won’t see it until May 6 and 7, respectively), a trailer has already surfaced, which can be viewed below.
