New London-based imprint Glass Table is whipping out its first release in June, and it is a slice of pure, deep Detroit-style house from Motor City resident Jimmy Edgar. “Hush” is a ponderous, lush track that shows its debt to Theo Parrish and Moodymann in a most reverent way. With a more frenetic remix courtesy of fellow Detroit wunderkind Kyle Hall also included on the single, the new label is off to a magnificent start. As an audiovisual teaser, check out the VERY, VERY NSFW video of Edgar’s original track, available after the jump—just be forewarned that the video includes many close-ups of vaginas, so if that makes you squeamish, then you might want to pass.
