One of the latest additions to the UK’s ever-growing bass music scene, fledgling label Blunted Robots last week unveiled its third release: a double single featuring Night Slugs boss Bok Bok on one side and Brackles & Shortstuff on the other. Both tracks, “Citizens Dub” and “Pipey D,” explore the limits of UK funky and bass in their own distinct ways—managing to remain equally club-ready and sonically diverse all the while. With his single out now, Robots label head Shortstuff is taking his DJ skills stateside for a couple of choice tour dates. First up is a set at the infamous Dub War NYC this Friday, with an appearance at San Francisco’s Icee Hot the following Saturday.
