Novation has released the latest firmware update for its Circuit groovebox.

The update will add four new features to the groovebox, including non-quantized recording, giving users the ability to record ‘off the grid’ and capture synth and drum tracks directly to microsteps; synth microstep editing, which allows editing of the six microsteps to every full step; per note velocity tracking, allowing manual editing to every step’s velocity; and the ability to set Synth 1, Synth 2 and Drums to whichever MIDI channels you like.

Firmware v1.8 is available now and can be downloaded within Novation’s Components content manager.
