The LuckyMe label’s ongoing holiday advent calendar is—by design—the gift that keeps on giving. Still, the last few days have seen a number of particularly interesting free bits of audio surface as part of the project, with a previously unreleased track from How to Dress Well being shared yesterday, and today, offering up a new remix of ascendant LA vocalist Kelela‘s “Send Me Out” by Brooklyn producer Obey City. A subdued, soul-steeped effort in its original form, Obey City teases out a few extra bits funk on his edit, which includes a number of energetic bursts amidst its concise run (this one clocks in at just under the three-minute mark).

The latest piece of audio to surface from LuckyMe’s generous end-of-the-year tradition, Obey City’s edit of Kelela’s “Send Me Out” (pulled from the vocalist’s well-received Cut 4 Me mixtape), can be streamed and downloaded in full below.
