Premiere: Hear a Low-Slung Deep House Cut From ALVA
The French duo will drop their 'Hétérotopies' EP on Friday.
French duo ALVA will drop their latest EP, Hétérotopies, via Pont Neuf Records on Friday, February 1.
Since launching the project in 2016, the duo have dropped a handful of EPs on Pont Neuf, Chez Damier’s Inner Balance, and Virage Records, the imprint the duo set up in 2017. Their forthcoming Hétérotopies EP, arguably their finest work to date, delivers four balanced house cuts full of inspired musical ideas and low-slung grooves. From the chunky rhythms of opening cut “Le Moulin” to the funk-filled synth lines of “Lingotto,” and the genre-bending “Social Club” (feat. Cosmonection), Hétérotopies provides a wealth of artillery for DJs dedicated to all manner of house-music strains.
In support of the release, Pont Neuf has offered up a full stream of the EP’s closing track, “Rue du Soleil,” a smooth-as-silk house groove built for the floor. You can stream the cut below, with the EP available for pre-order here.
