Premiere: Hear Audion Remix Leftfield’s “Universal Everything”
Matthew Dear's alter-ego turns in a dark, atmospheric, rework of the British act's original.
May 4 will see the release of a new single from pioneering British act Leftfield, now the solo project of Neil Barnes. “Universal Everything” will available in digital and limited edition vinyl formats and will come with remixes from Dutch wizard Legowelt, Bristol’s Hodge, and Matthew Dear‘s alter-ego, Audion. The single will precede Leftfield’s new album, and their third, Alternative Light Source, which will be released June 8 via Infectious Music.
Matthew Dear’s always shifting Audion project has twisted “Universal Everything” into a heads down, atmospheric, dancefloor cut in true Audion style. The single can be pre-ordered here, with the Audion remix of “Universal Everything” streaming for the first time below; along with the previously heard original and Leftfield’s upcoming tour dates.
