Route 8 Returns to Lobster Theremin
'Come Home' EP will land on June 1.
Lobster Theremin will release a new EP by Route 8, who returns after a three-year hiatus.
Route 8 is the alias of Hungarian Gergely Szilveszter Horvath. Having released a number of EPs in 2013, Szilveszter was discovered via his personal SoundCloud page by Lobster Theremin founder Jimmy Asquith. He’s since gone on to release several EPs on the London-based imprint, and also via Delsin, Nous, and Black Venison. Szilveszter also collaborated with Opal Tapes associate Stephan Olbricht, and also launched This Is Our Time, an imprint devised as an international platform for similarly-talented Hungarian artists.
He’s now set to return to Lobster Theremin with what’s described as his “finest work to date.” We’re told to expect a varied body of house works that segues from early Chicago to bumpin’ French touch, serious Cafe Del Mar lounge and trumpet vibes. and some seriously spacey synth work with a trance-y edge.”
It will be Lobster Theremin’s 50th release.
