Newcomer Roy Comanchero will supply veteran selector Gerd Janson’s Running Back label with its next release. Due out in just a few days, news of the forthcoming Lucid Memory EP arrives with very few extra details, though previews show a clear Chicago house and Italo disco palette. (An accompanying write-up also suggests that Comanchero prefers cheap and vintage machines to laptop production.) Previews for the four-track release can be heard below ahead of its arrival on November 17, and closing cut “New Horizon” also served as the opening cut on Janson’s recent XLR8R podcast, which can be streamed and downloaded here.
