Scuba Celebrates 10 Years of SUB:STANCE With Three New Releases
A re-issue of Scuba's debut album, a VA compilation, and an album of previously unreleased solo music will drop over the next few weeks.
Paul Rose (a.k.a. Scuba) has announced three new releases to celebrate 10 years of his SUB:STANCE party and label.
Rose launched SUB:STANCE at Berghain in 2008 with Paul Fowler (a.k.a. Paul Spymania), before retiring the party in 2013 and kicking off its label arm. To celebrate its anniversary, Scuba will present three release, beginning with a reissue of his seminal 2008 debut album, A Mutual Antipathy, on October 19, which will drop as A Mutual Antipathy Revisited, featuring a previously unreleased track with Amp Fiddler and the original 2008 remixes by Marcel Dettmann, Surgeon, Martyn, Substance, Jamie Vex’d, and the first outing of Scuba’s SCB alias.
Following that, on November 2, Rose will release SUB:STANCE in Retrograde, a previously unheard collection of tracks produced during the sessions for the first two Scuba albums (2008’s A Mutual Antipathy, and 2010’s Triangulation), before dropping the Sounds of SUB:STANCE compilation on November 23, featuring unreleased or previously vinyl-only material from artists such as Shackleton, Vex’d, Untold, TRG (a.k.a. Cosmin TRG), Mala, Skream, Peverelist, Instra:mental, Matty G and, of course, Scuba.
