Released today, The Opposite is a short documentary by filmmaker Ramez Silyan exploring Ben Zimmerman’s musical experiments with the Tandy DeskMate—which have since been released as The Baltika Years by the highly regarded Software imprint.

Pulled together from a collection of recordings made by Zimmerman between 1992 and 2002, The Baltika Years is an absorbing journey made all the more fascinating by Silyan’s brilliant portrait.
