Sónar Takes On South America
The Barcelona-based festival will travel to four Latin American cities this year.
São Paulo, Buenos Aires, Santiago de Chile and Bogota will all play host to the Sónar events across November and December of this year.
The annual festival was born in 1994 in Barcelona, and has since pledged to increase its global reach, throwing more than 50 festivals in cities across the world. Later this year they are set to return to Argentina for the second time, and Brazil for the third, as well as extending their reach into both Chile and Colombia. Headlining all of the events will be The Chemical Brothers, Hot Chip and Evian Christ, who will be joined along the way by the likes of Modeselektor, Dixon, Recondite, Brodinski, Double Vision (Atom™ + Robin Fox), Eats Everything, Gorgon City, and a whole host of local artists.
Sónar+D, a technology and creativity conference, will run alongside the festivals in São Paulo, Buenos Aires and Santiago de Chile. See below for dates.
