Steve Moore Arrives on Temporary Residence Limited with Collaborative LP
'Beloved Exile' LP lands May 10 with Brooklyn's Temporary Residence Limited.
Zombi co-founder Steve Moore has announced a new album in collaboration with Tunisian singer-songwriter Emel Mathlouthi, Los Angeles-based harpist Mary Lattimore, and New York percussionist Jeff Gretz, titled Beloved Exile.
Beloved Exile is Moore’s first non-soundtrack album in five years and his first for Temporary Residence. It follows 2013’s Pangaea Ultima (Spectrum Spools) and Positronic Neural Pathways (VCO Records), and draws influence from vintage ambient synth libraries, new age/spiritual music, and menacing horror films. Novelist and musician John Darnielle created the song titles and album name.
We’re told to expect a “37-minute LP of visceral and exploratory electronic music.”
Beloved Exile lands on May 10 with Temporary Residence Limited, with “Your Sentries Will Be Met With Force” streaming below, and pre-order for the CD and vinyl versions here.
