Brooklyn artist Steve Summers and Future Times co-head—not to mention, a recent XLR8R podcast contributor—Maxmillion Dunbar (pictured above) will issue a new 12″ of exploratory dancefloor productions together as Activated. Set to serve as the fifth release of Summers’ Confused House label (a name which he also used to produce under), the record will feature two elongated efforts from the pair, “Activation Code” and “Activation Key,” the latter of which finds Summers and Dunbar carefully spreading a slew of hardware tones across pulsing drum machine rhythms for just over 16 minutes. The b-side “Activation Key” can be streamed in full below before the Activated pair drops its collaborative 12″ later this month. (via Juno Plus)
