Nicolas Jaar (pictured above) and Chicago house veteran DJ Slugo have combined forces for “Ghetto,” an eight-minute track which is said to have been inspired by “recent events.” Appearing on the SoundCloud page of Jaar’s Other People label (through which DJ Slugo released his King of Ghetto House EP earlier this year), “Ghetto” sees Jaar piecing together a warm, slow-sweeping house production, on top of which DJ Slugo delivers a spoken-word oration on life in the ghetto.
