NYC’s premiere bastion of the art of classic house and disco, Andy Butler’s Hercules & Love Affair outfit, is just about a week from releasing its second full-length offering, an 11-song record called Blue Songs. Before that record drops on January 31 via Moshi Moshi, fans can stream Hercules & Love Affair’s new record over on The Guardian, now. On the new album, the hosting website wrote, “Butler explained that the titular theme refers to the ‘blue period’ of his adolescence, before music made him realise there were other people just like him out there.” An interesting theme, and one that sounds quite gorgeous, too.
