Taking much of its inspiration from the industrial rise and fall of the UK’s West Midlands region, where Mark E spent his formative years, the upcoming Product of Industry LP is said to showcase a harder edge to the remarkably consistent producer’s craft. Before that LP sees its full release next week via Ghostly’s Spectral Sound imprint, the nine-track affair is now available to stream in full.
“The music is grinding, continuous, heavy, relentless,” Mark E says of his forthcoming album, which is also said to be almost entirely produced on analog equipment. Still, Product of Industry does not present an unrecognizable Mark E, as beneath the more machine-minded sound palette, the man’s low-swung rhythms and keen ability for crafting chugging house workouts is still readily apparent. The time-tested UK producer/DJ’s sophomore LP will see its official release on April 28; in the meantime, the album can be streamed in its entirety below.
