Shortly following the release of “Lemonade” b/w “Hard” on Numbers, UK producer SOPHIE has teamed up with PC Music head A. G. Cook to form QT, a collaboration which today has dropped a new single via XL. “Hey QT” is said to combine “sugar-sweet, glossy, hyperreal pop with the kind of playful, twisted, provocative electronics” associated with both of its creators. According to a press release, the QT project itself is conceptualized as a brand, specifically an “Energy Elixir,” in which “organic and synthetic meet to stimulate an uplifting club sensation”—much like the track itself. “Hey QT” is out today via XL, and can be streamed in full below.
