In the wake of III, their April 1st full-length on Monkeytown, Moderat has released a new video to accompany the album’s second track, “Running.” As the title indicates, III is the third full release from the trio -composed of Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary from Modeselektor and Sascha “Apparat” Ring – that fuses Apparat’s delicate, ethereal compositions with the glitches and punchy rhythms of past Modeselektor releases. Through the eyes of a nomadic airline pilot, the video explores the Mojave desert to complement the track’s wistful melody and lyrical content. The video also sets a thematic backdrop for the group’s forthcoming tour, which kicks off May 19th at Webster Hall.
