Beginning at this year’s Coachella festival in Indio, California, Swedish avant-electro duo The Knife has announced its first American tour since 2006’s Silent Shout LP. Touring off the back of last year’s groundbreaking double-album Shaking the Habitual, the politically charged group says its new live performance will “play with the expectations and question habits of the concert, the dance performance, the club, and the music festival.” Tickets for the 2014 shows will officially go on sale this Saturday, January 18, with the exception of the Fox Theater date in Oakland (on sale January 17, noon PST).
