Canadian composer, Tim Hecker, has produced the movie soundtrack for actor/writer, Jason Lew’s directorial debut, titled: The Free World. According to Film Music Reporter, the film centers around an ex-prisoner trying to re-adjust into society after having spent several brutal years in prison, for a crime he was falsely accused of.

Hecker— known as an experimental electronic and ambient artist—is no stranger to film scores, having previously worked on several features and shorts. His latest undertaking, precedes the Norberg/Apondalifa EP, reissued earlier this year.

The Free World is set to compete at the upcoming edition of the Sundance Film Festival, January 26, 2016.
