Tornado Wallace Drops New Single for Beats In Space, Shares Video for Lead Track
The new record serves as the Australian producer's second outing on Tim Sweeney's label.

Tornado Wallace caught the attention of Beats In Space aficionados in 2013 with his debut release for the label, the languorous, tropical-sounding Desperate Pleasures EP. Now, the Melbourne-based producer (real name Lewis Day) will drop a second release for Tim Sweeney’s celebrated New York label, the Kangaroo Ground/Ferntree Gully 12″ which finds Day adding a distinctly acidic tint to his humid, midsummer aesthetic on the first track, while the flip sparks and fizzes with Italo-evoking energy. Tornado Wallace’s Kangaroo Ground/Ferntree Gully is out today as a limited-edition 12″, with a digital release set for March 10. Before then, the kaleidoscopic video for the record’s a-side effort, “Kangaroo Ground,” can be watched below.
