Ultramajic—the label helmed jointly by Jimmy Edgar and Machinedrum—has announced plans to introduce a new artist into the fold, Chambray, whose Rub EP will mark the imprint’s ninth release when it drops later this month. “Put these on in a club, watch it go boom,” the record’s accompanying press release says of the four-track release from the budding Berlin talent. Serving as our first taste, the label has let loose a small snippet of the EP’s title track, “Rub,” a floor-focused cut full of sharp claps and interweaving layers of percussion that cut through wide synths and slippery organ loops. The preview clip for “Rub” can be streamed below, where the full tracklist for Chambray’s upcoming Ultramajic debut (out on June 23) has also been included.
