Berlin-by-way-of-London-by-way-of-Los Angeles producer Urulu will return to the NYC-based Let’s Play House imprint with the four-track Moon Unit EP next month. Set to include three originals from the budding artist, alongside a remix from Ben La Desh, Urulu’s upcoming effort is said to be a “a spacier, loopier, and looser offering” than his previous outing for the label, last year’s Left Coast EP. To that point, Moon Unit‘s title cut is described as a “dense, syncopated, seven-minute-long jam,” while EP track “Sounds Like Sumo” is said to be “more noodling and melodious,” and the following “Lunar Larry” as the record’s “most luscious and most abstract” production.
Urulu’s Moon Unit EP is scheduled to see an official release in vinyl form on June 16, with a digital release following on June 30. In the meantime, the upcoming record’s artwork and tracklist are included below.
A1 Moon Unit
A2 Sounds Like Sumo
B1 Lunar Larry
B2 Moon Unit (Ben La Desh Remix)
