After sharing her video for “Oblivion” earlier this year, Grimes follows it up with another clip, this time for Visions single “Genesis.” Directed by singer/producer Claire Boucher herself, the piece starts with shots of her dancing in front of a purple-hued sunset and a black Escalade, with previously unheard Grimes track playing in the background. Once “Genesis” kicks in, we’re shown scenes of Boucher riding around in the back of the Escalade, surrounded by friends as she sports yellow-spotted snake around her neck (à la Britney Spears at the 2001 VMAs). Those images are juxtaposed with Grimes battling some kind of futuristic rave princess played by Brooke Candy, making for quite the directorial debut from Boucher.
