Following our exclusive premiere of Brooklyn producer and Fifth Wall co-founder Hound Scales‘ Sabbath Lillie Hawks EP, that record has officially dropped via the fledgling White Asega label, with this new video for “Odile” helping mark the occasion. Borrowing imagery from the Bauhaus Triadische Ballet, the otherworldly piece features clown-like characters moving in a mechanical manner reminiscent of stop-motion, blurring the line between the real and imagined. The dancers’ glitchy and unnatural movements effectively accent Hound Scales’ eerie synths and rattling low-end, and helps make for an unnerving combination of rugged dancefloor music and avant-garde performance.
